Up to date....so far.....Tonights dinner
We eat healthier.....if you haven't noticed (ha). So tonight I made some homemade chicken nuggets. Served it with mac-n-cheese and seasoned green beans. Yes, you can have mac-n-chees even if you are eating healthier. Remember it is not so much of what you eat.....but how much you eat. So for the mac-n-cheese you are to have 1/3 cup for your serving. Two cups of green beans, which work really well for me as I love green beans! And 3-4 oz of protein. So anywho....back to the chicken nuggets.
Ahh...the Good Life!! (oh yeah...and chili)
I made my chili for dinner a few days ago.
While doing so I was enjoying a Strawberry Daiquiri. It was yummy (like always)!!
O:kay...Now lets start with the super easy chili!
Odds and Ends
Here are just some odds and ends.
Logan taking a nap the other day.
As you can see he sleeps with his gun (smile).
Our big boy - Lunchbox. He is so pretty! I noticed that we don't post many at all of Lily. I think it is because she is always napping somewhere and he is always "in your face".....(haha).
My lunch the other day at work.
A wonderful turkey burger and an awesome salad! Yum!!
Morning Fog
David took the dogs out for the morning potty and it was foggy.
He took these wonderful pictures.

Brewing Beer
David started another batch of beer. He got a home brewing kit for Christmas and this is his second brew. He took pictures - of course to post - (smile). So here I am posting his prep for brewing. We have about a week to go before he can bottle it and then it sits for 2 weeks before we can drink it! Counting it down!
Fuccillo Kia in Cape Coral
We have a Kia dealer here and he does so much for the community. It is where my mom bought her Kia Soul. We went there the other day and saw the owner - Bill Fuccillo. He is tall! I have seen him last time I went but I wasn't with David. This time he was with me so we thought about taking a picture and....yep....putting it on the blog. David likes how he is dressed.
Last Meeting
Logan had his last Cub Scout meeting of Webelos 1. In August begins the Webelos 2 year. He doesn't know if he is going to continue on to be a Boy Scout. It doesn't seem like they do things that thrill him and keep him interested. They had him fill out a form of what they could do that he would like. He put on the form - paint ball. So we will see if he goes back in August. Here is his last meeting.

AWESOME!!!!
This is another drawing from Logan. He brought this home and.......LOVE IT!!!! Logan is wanting to take art class next year. I pray he gets in the class. I really enjoy framing and hanging my kids drawings.
Autumn Drawing
Logan did this drawing. We really like it. Hope you enjoy. We frame our kids drawings and hang them on our walls. So this one will be getting a frame and a spot in the house - I am thinking....kitchen! It reminds me of Autumn and that is when my favorite part of the year starts!!
Yum...Chicken
So here is a way I make chicken. Take a little mayo and stir in some parmesan cheese (or try whatever cheese you have). Spread it over the chicken. Sprinkle on some Italian bread crumbs and bake. We try to grill just about everything we eat now, so these went on the grill. I kept them on the foil and grilled for about 20 minutes (no turning, duh). David said they tasted like fried chicken. I just think they were good!
Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies
Here is a recipe for chocolate chip cookies I made. Everyone liked them. So I thoughts I'd share them with you. Enjoy!
Young and old
Here is our oldest pet, Gus (cat) and our youngest pet, Lunchbox (dog). They are our babies!! Gus is about 12-13 years old and Lunchbox is 2.5 years old. In the picture Gus was enjoying some cat nip and Lunchbox just likes to 'stare in your soul' (as David and Nori say it).
Ah...Memories!
My Grandma always had this dessert stuff when my brother and I were there visiting. Well, she could of always had it in the fridge and I only seen it when we were there (hahaha). Anyway, I finally found a recipe that I think is it and made some. It looks like it. I just haven't had it in so many years I am not sure of the taste anymore. My kids like it, so I guess that is good enough. The dessert is mini marshmallows, whip topping, crushed pineapple and pistachio pudding (not made) all mixed together. I do think it could use less pineapple and more marshmallows (smile). But either way, it reminds me of my grandparents when I was younger.
New Van
David's parents got a new mini-van. It has a 'pod' instead of a key. The side doors and hatch open and close with a button. It has a back up camera, that is cool as shit! There are over the head pockets for portable DVD players. A built in GPS, jukebox and CD player. Over head string lights on the inside for night, Renate says they are green. We haven't seen them yet but will, if not soon defiantly in October! Leather seats and black carpet - sharp! The windows on the sliding side doors even roll down! Well, here it is.
Homemade dog toy
I was tired of buying our dogs toys and within 5 minutes of them having the new toy they would be destroyed. So I made one to try out on our big boy, Lunchbox. I crocheted a teddy bear. I did a very basic one because it was a tester. It has worked out wonderful!! David really likes it too and wants me to make more. We have ideas on others, just don't know when I am going to start on them.

Yet another project
Logan was given 3 projects to finish before the last week of school! One was his science project, one was a book project he did in class and this one. They were crazy and like pulling teeth to finish. After school it is easier pulling teeth than it is getting Logan to do something related to school. But they were done. We still haven't seen the book project.
This one is Logan's friend and his project.
Then Logan took a picture of his board.
What a job!
I really like my career! I am a CNA/HHA and work with an agency to care for people in their homes. Here is a look at what I deal with.
Date Night!!
David and I finally went on a date. We try to go at least twice a month but since the move and everything else we haven't been in a long time. So we made time! We went to Bianca's. It is this wonderful Italian restaurant down the street from us. We love that place! We enjoyed our date very much!! The food is homemade and amazing!!

Crochet Sweater Finished!
I was crocheting this sweater for practice. I have taught myself how to crochet and try different things to learn more on how to do things. It took me a while to do this because I only worked on it once in a while. Finally got it done and had Nori put it on so I could get pictures. She really didn't want to model it for me because her dress didn't look good with it. But I didn't care, I wanted pictures. It was suppose to be a little bigger but I ran out of the yarn I was using. It still turned out good I think. I like it! Nice and soft too.
Rainbow
Logan and I were on our way home the other day and saw this awesome rainbow. He grabbed my phone and took pictures. I think he did a great job.
The rainbow was big and pretty.
Arts Alive performance
Logan's school had a performance of signing and dancing called Arts Alive. I forgot my camera so had to use the one on my phone. The pictures aren't as good as they would of been but hey I forgot the good camera. At least I had something to take pictures with. He is the tall one up front with a black Pink Floyd t-shirt, bead necklace and sunglasses.
You Rock Logan!!
Happy Birthday to Barbara!
Happy Birthday Barb!
We won't give your age away.
We'll just say you are somewhere between 40 and 45!
We'll just say you are somewhere between 40 and 45!
I think it's called "40something".
Happy Mother's Day!
Logan goes to the Home Depot once a month for a kids building class. When David took him he made me this flower pot and even put a flower in it for me for Mother's Day! Aww. He even painted it. David took more pictures but didn't send them to me and then deleted them off his phone (silly). The flower was doing good but I always somehow kill them. So it died. But I can always put another in the pot and kill more! hahaha
Science Project
Holy Cow! It has been like forever since we have posted anything on here. Sorry. With me working now and a ton of end-of-the-school-year projects they loaded on Logan we have been busy! So this is the only picture we were able to get for Logan's science project. David took it or we wouldn't have any. He did the project on if candles burn differently at different temperatures. He did temperatures of freezer, fridge and room temperatures. They started out burning different but they just all ended up burning the same in the long run. He got a B on it because he forgot to take it to school on time....bummer. Oh well, he said he is happy with a B cause it could of been worse.

My baby is growing up!
Yesterday my hubby and I bought our daughter her first car. She was so excited! It is a 1996 Toyota Corolla. Exactly what she wanted. Grandpa Barnard went with us to make sure it was a good car. They both took it for a test drive together. Glad he could be a part of a milestone in her young adult life! (Thanks Dad!) She wants to name it - Blue. But everyone so far told her they don't like the name. We told her it is her car not anyone else's and she can name it whatever she wants. So here is BLUE!
