Other good book that's out there that I'd like to read is 'The China Study' by Dr. T. Colin Campbell. He talked about his book in a documentary we watched. I did find one of the cookbooks at the library and is where I came across this recipe. There are a few cookbook too. I can't remember which one I had from the library so you'll just have to have fun looking through the awesome recipes from what you have at your library. This recipe is a loved meal in our home! It makes a large pot full and there aren't leftovers! I made it while my parents were visiting and my dad liked it so much he wanted the recipe! I must let you know that I have changed the recipe a little. So you're not surprised if you get the cookbook and notice it's slightly different. I do that often with recipes as I use what I have and/or like. I don't remember what I changed so this is my version.

Autumn Garden Vegetable Soup

One of my favorite cookbooks is 'The Starch Solution' from Dr. John McDougall. (my other favorite cookbook is 'The Healthiest Diet on the Planet' also from Dr. John McDougall). What can I say, I'm a McDougall fan! His newest book the time we went plant based was Healthiest Diet. I fell in love with in recipes. So I got the Starch Solution book next (it came out before the Healthiest Diet). I also use their website for more recipes. Anywho, I'm getting off track.

This recipe is such a big hit in my house. My boys aren't fans of soup. But the first time I made this soup my son ate 4 bowls!! I make it often and to this day we still love it.

2019 Carnival Breeze Cruise

Well it's been another year of cruising. We plan ahead and take a cruise once a year. And of course we try to make sure it's going somewhere we haven't been yet. As we go thru the song by the Beach Boys - Kokomo - we finally can mark Bermuda off the list!! But not permanently.

My new favorite found food!

I tried a polenta dish on a cruise. It was amazing!! When I got home I did some looking into this dish. Since then I make it for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Today I thought I'd share this versatile dish with y'all. If your not fond of the spices and herbs I use then make it your own! Use what you like, using as little or as much spices and herbs you like!!😋 Polenta is actually course ground yellow corn meal. So if you can't find "polenta" in your grocery store then look for course ground corn meal.

A visit to the 'Saint' islands

We had our yearly cruise at the end of September. Our longest one yet, 10 days! We went to what I call the Saint islands. Beautiful places! We did take another Princess ship with this cruise. And still am not impressed with this ship line at all especially for the cost! But we sometimes have to pick a cruise line depending on where they are going. Anywho, lets get going on this beautiful trip.

Happily Ever After!

My daughter got married! This is amazing cause her whole like she was against ever getting married. It didn't bother me as "to each his own". But I did tell her that a day might come where she will want it (she thought I was crazy) and I told her when that day happens it will be the one. That day surprisingly came! So in May my baby girl got married to most wonderful young man! I couldn't ask for anyone better for her! Welcome to the family Jacob! And for my sweet grandson, Jake!

New addition to the family

My daughter has another baby!! A little boy and the most precious thing! He was a premie due to issues but everyone is doing wonderful and he's growing ever so big! When she had her little girl we lived so close to each other I could see them when ever I wanted and she came over a lot. I also was able to babysit my granddaughter. But we moved 3 hours away in November 2016 and I'm no longer close enough to get in my squishy time! I breaks my heart. Now there is a new little munchkin and I feel like I'm missing a lot!! Anywho, enough of the sad shit. Let get on to seeing this most amazing little guy.......Oliver James.
