Just a Swinging!

We have always wanted a swing. So now that we have a yard again, we have decided it was time to get one. Since the day we got it up we have been using it! If you have always wanted one and didn't want to pay the price don't worry, just get it. We bought ours off Walmart dot com and it was around $170. Way cheaper than most and so worth the price!! It even holds up to 750 pounds.

First I framed out the area we decided to put the swing using old wood laying around. Then pulled out all the weeds and grass. Using a rake I leveled the dirt.

 We had 3 bags of mulch left over from making the veggie garden. So I put them all in the swing area. Again using the rake to level it all out.

 The swing arrived a day early! Whoot Whoot!! Hubby started putting it all together while I did the best I could of helping. Which was more like reading the instruction book and holding whatever he needed me to hold....lol

It was going along really good. Going together pretty fast and easy. Until we came across the canopy part. The pre-drilled holes in the metal frame were too small. The screw didn't fit, at all! So hubby had to take time to drill holes big enough for the screws. Once that was done things got to moving along good again.

 It also lays into a daybed! Hell ya! After it was together hubby went in the house and I fell asleep on the swing. It was so nice to be outside. Quiet, wind blowing and birds singing. Does life get better?

(Just an update: the feet are now sitting on garden stones. They aren't in the picture cause hubby didn't think we needed them. But after the legs started sinking in the ground I had him put the stones under the feet for support. We used one stone under each corner.)

 Now I did a shit ton of research. I found 3 swings online threw Wallyworld. All 3 held 750 pounds and converted into a daybed. These two things were a must for us. But all 3 had a different style frame and cushion material. I settled on this swing because I really like the cushion pattern and color. We love our swing!!

Again, so worth the price! Don't hesitate another second! Go get your swing!!

(man I kinda sound like a swing pusher...lol)
