Outside project and garden

We wanted a sitting area where we could have a garden and not worry about the dogs or our granddaughter. So we started this project and the results turned out very nice. We are happy with it. BUT it is hard to enjoy it during spring and summer down here in southwest florida!!! None the less tho we do like it and glad we finally finished it.

The project started with us taking down that ramp that was round our porch. Using the posts and wood from the ramp we made our little inclosure. The part provides us with free mulch, yay! And all the bricks were given to us. So this project only cost us time and sweat! That is the best!

We're not totally done. There are small things to do but we are at least at the stage where we can use the area and do the other things when we are ready. For example: that concert wall will eventually have lattes put up and vines growing on it.

We planted seeds: tomatoes, sunflowers, jalapeƱos, habaneros, beans, peas and morning glories.

Only one sunflower grew, but that's okay because it made up for the others not growing.

The morning glories went crazy! The beans and peas didn't make it, I'm new at veggie gardening so.....it is what it is.

The habaneros are doing good but no fruit yet. They are even bigger now since these pictures.

The jalapeƱos are doing good, we can occasionally pick a fruit off the plants for hubby.

And the tomatoes are doing wonderful! They are taking over the little yard area. I got what was called 'bush tomatoes' and the package said they will bush so no support is needed.....yeah right! But that's okay, we're getting nice tomatoes that are very yummy!

Oh yeah, my pineapple started to give a fruit! Had this for years!!! And some ground cover next to it.

And some of my potted plants....okay, two. I don't have pictures of my other ones yet. I have a shit ton more but no pictures. I also have them on my screened in porch. One day I'll take pictures. Until then tho, this is all ya get!

Have a good day!
