Halloween decorations

This is my favorite time of year! During September I start getting excited. October, November and December are my months! For October - Halloween - I have done some decorations.

I got a piece of styrofoam from my in-laws, cut it in half to make two tombstones. A knife easily cut it. So make them how you want. I did one regular and one with a cross.

Then I used some left over gray paint we had and painted both sides.

Then with craft paint, make some cute names on the tombstone. I found a list on line and we all took votes on four that we wanted to use. I put a name on each side. That gives me something different next year by just turning the tombstone around!

Now they need to stay in the yard somehow. So I thought of hot gluing old chop sticks to the sides. Worked like a charm until we had some nice storm wind come through. Oh well, we just re-glued and put them back in the yard.

For added decorations in the yard we put up small ghosts that were only .97 at walmart. Plus David had a roll of caution tape from work and we put that up also. And each year we take plastic trick-or-treat jack-o-lanterns, screw them to our front step posts and put fake tea light candles in.

For in the house.....
I took paper material and wrapped it around some mason jars. Then I just tapped on eyes and a mouth using black construction paper. Put a fake tea light candle in and you have a mummy!

And of course for some added in side decorations...we have battery lighted jack-o-lanterns and a few paper ghost.

Happy Halloween decoration!!
