Florida Living!
We found an Irish Pub last night and went there for dinner. We sat outside, of course. If there is a chance to sit outside on a beautiful day near the water, we do it! The food was wonderful and the environment was really nice! We will defiantly be going there again.
Scouts
Logan is a Webelos Cub Scout. There are 2 years of Webelos. This year was year one. Next year is year two and then he will be a Boy Scout. He really likes it and enjoys going to all the camp trips they take. Thursday was a meeting and they got badges and pins.

Done with bullying and schools that don't care!
I live where the schools don't give a shit about bullying! Oh they say they do, but they don't! Our son was bullied for several years. It started in the second grade. It was so bad that his grades dropped and he failed. The so called adults in the school didn't care and so we pulled him out and put him in another school. Things were going a little better in the new school but not so good on the bus. He was being physically touched (pushed, hit, punched...you know touched!). And nothing was done about it. I was always calling the school and talking to the assistant principal - nothing. So it got to the point where we pulled him off the bus and I started taking him back and forth to school. Then at the end of the year last year we moved. A new bus would come with that move. Well, things were going a lot better! Until today.
Honey Badger
There is a youtube video about the honey badger that is cool.
I even learned things about the honey badger that I didn't know.
My hubby likes it so much I bought him a shirt when I found one. He wears it all the time!
Fried green tomato and turkey sandwich!
Unbelievable! This sandwich was so yummy!! I is fried green tomato, hot sliced turkey, pesto sauce, plus other goodies on whole grain bread loaded with seeds...YUM! I was going to take a picture of it before I started to eat it but............well you see how well that went. And David ate his burger so fast there was nothing left of his by the time I took the picture of my sandwich. Oh well, it was very good.
I got the call :-)
Yep, a CNA agency that I signed up with called yesterday! Only for a couple hours a day Monday thru Friday, but that is all I wanted anyway. Something part time. Plus I have more, lots more, freedom than if I worked for a regular employer. I have flexibility and freedom you don't really get with a facility (nursing home, retirement home, assisted living, hospital....). Working for an agency I tell them what days and times I can work. So when my hubby takes his vacation I can just tell the agency not to schedule me on that week. Nice huh? I think so. Anywho, my first day is today. I am excited!

What's for dinner?
Again everyone loved dinner. So they wanted to share it. I grilled Curry Chicken, baked honey curry carrots and some Alfredo pasta along with cucumber tomato salad.
It was wonderful!
Glasses are in
Well her glasses came in yesterday. When she put them on she could see so much better she said it was like HD! They are nice, but it is her beauty that shines! The sides of them have flowers. Had a picture of that but it didn't come through to me so I no longer have it. Oh well. Her last pair of glasses had smaller lenses, these are bigger which I think look much better on her and show her beautiful eyes!

Recipe
Around here they call it mush, mash, slop - whatever comes out of their mouths, which isn't much because they are too busy shoveling this in their mouths! They really like this recipe but can't give it a real name. Nori wants me to enter it in a cooking contest, I told her - "You're nuts!" And Logan wants to add it to the menu of his restaurant, I told him - "Yeah, okay!"(sarcasm) These kids of mine are crazy! It is just something I throw together.
Eye exam
Nori was having trouble seeing with the glasses she already had. So of course after the exam she needs new glasses. Her eyes were funny after they were dilated.
One pupil was larger than the other.
Tearing it down
The house (double wide trailer) on our street is being torn down. I guess no one wanted to buy it so they took it down to put up a more expensive new one.
I am standing in the door way and a big crane is tearing off large pieces and putting it in the back of that big truck there. It only took them one and a half days. Now the lot it empty until they put a new one in.
How to eat a lemon
Our big dog likes lemons. Hell he'll eat just about anything, but not everything. So we recoded a little of him and how he eats lemons. :-) Hope the video works for ya.
Sunday Grillin'
My folks came by Sunday with some hamburgers and hot dogs. Hubby threw them on the grill and we had a good time eating and talking. Then our daughter made some yummy cookies. It was a good day.

Wall of Awards!
Yesterday was a visit at our sons school. We found this on the wall in the hallway.
And he had a good report card too.

Crochet Throw
I learned to crochet as a hobby. I was practicing how to do squares and wanted to make Logan a camouflage throw blanket. So this is what I made. This is a first for me: first squares and first throw blanket. It was wrapped and given to him for Christmas.
Dinner
David liked the way the food looked on the plate.
So he wanted to take a picture and post it. (smile)
It is grilled cod, baked sweet potato fries and asparagus.

Small bags of what?
Yep they now make small bags of alcohol! We like the idea, better than buying a bottle. We don't drink a lot or often and I don't like how bottles take up fridge space either. These are so much better for us. They also come in different alcohols other than rum.
Happy St. Patty's Day!
I know it's late but hey, better late than never, right?
Anywho, we went and played in my in-laws pool, well not me, I don't get in water below 80 (sometimes) and then we went to Hooters for some green beer and grub.
What's in my backyard?
Baby ducks!
There have been more but just now able to get pictures. Others from earlier in the year are a lot bigger. These little guys are new! Hopefully you can see them okay.

Shell Factory
We went to the Shell Factory Friday and took some pictures. We live right down the street from it. You could actually walk there if you wanted to. It is just very over priced shells and gift items. We went to check out the parking lot flea market and walk around. They do have mini golf which is okay and water fun things, we haven't done. And a 'zoo' which we have done and like. But as for the inside stores with gift items, souvenirs and shell - forget about it. So the pictures are of the outside, of course.
Signs and such
This was in the Walmart parking lot and Nori wanted a picture of it to share.
So here it is....
And this is one my hubby sent me via email. I like it! They need this sign everywhere!!
Weekend Project
Our daughter had a weekend project - painting her room. We use Walmart paint called 'ColorPlace' and I can't tell you the colors because I already tossed them out. Oh well. It turned out very nice. A friend of her's stayed over the weekend and helped her out. They did a great job. Then we went back to Walmart Sunday to buy the curtains for the window and closet. Here is the project......

Happy Anniversary to Us!
Today marks our 12th anniversary (but a total of 14 years). Every year we go to this most amazing restaurant - The Melting Pot. They are a little costly but to us so worth it. We only go once a year. It is a fondue restaurant and each dish is awesomely delicious! We get the 4 course meal for 2.
Paradise Is HOT!!
O:kay I forgot yesterday to let y'all know how hot it gets here in paradise. This is contact paper from the shed. That yucky stuff on it is - well was - it's rubber band!! Yea, that's right, a rubber band! How's that? Is it hot enough for ya?

Found Shelf!
Our day started out with our boys yearly doctors appointment. He needed two shots and a finger poke. He wasn't happy but he made it through.

Thrift Shopping Tuesday
Whew....almost done with the catch up. So today we went to the Kia dealer so that our daughter could look at the Soul she wants and to 6 thrift stores! That's right - 6!! I don't play. We were on a hunt for a cabinet that would fill the space we made the day before in the kitchen. We didn't find anything the size we needed! We knew we would have that problem. There were shelf units and cabinets that were 15 inches (too small) and 24 inches (too big). Bummer! But we did find some kick-ass items in the process! Hubby also took pictures of our breakfast because he thought they turned out kinda cool after we put everything on the plates. And then I couldn't forget to add the cold and refreshing grapefruit that went along with it all. The day had already started out really nice! Smile!!
Kitchen Cabinets - Monday
I didn't like the cabinets over the stove and fridge. Plus they weren't very useful for me. And the counter between the two appliances was falling apart and we had enough of it too. Hubby took out all of them. In the process, I somehow hurt my shoulder blade (pinched a nerve) and had to go to my chiropractor. This is all we - I mean - he did today. We want to put a cabinet unit there that will go from the floor to the top of the fridge. The width size will be an issue, it is only 20 inches wide! Good luck finding something huh? Hubby said he will build me one to fit there if he has to.....aww! I love him. ****P.S. hubby is 6'4" and on a step ladder so he looks large in the picture.
Run Around Sunday
Sunday we went to a few places. Went to a shopping mall, lunch and pet store. It was stinking hot walking around the shopping mall. The businesses are not inclosed in a single building, you walk around outside to get from one store to the next. And enjoy the sweat and heat as you go from store to store. It was in the 80's outside and no breeze. Hell if there were a breeze it would of been a hot one.
Awesome looking trees. These are at the shopping mall.
Strawberry Festival - Saturday
So Saturday a church down the way from us was having a Strawberry Festival. It was not the real one, but it was something to do. The face painting and popcorn was free and the line was too long for any of the food/meals they had, so no eating lunch there. Oh well. I really enjoyed the music the band was playing, I know I'm weird. The antique car show was cool. I think those old cars and trucks are the only vehicles with class!! After words we took the kids home and went grocery shopping.
Pool Time - Friday
O:kay, we talked about doing a family blog on Thursday March 8th, 2012. We finally decided to go for it and I have not done anything. What a great way to start, huh? Anywho, I figured I would just do catch up since Friday. The kids were out of school Friday and for the following week for Spring Break. Hubby worked Friday but has Spring Break off as well. As for me, I am a stay-at-home-mom/wife, for now. So while hubby was working Friday I took the kids to the pool. Our son took some of his friends along and shortly after arriving our daughter left with some friends. We live in a family gated community and own our double wide trailer. That's right, I said it! We own a trailer! But that's a 'mortgage free double wide trailer' to you :-). Now where were we? Oh yeah, we went to the pool and that is where I started taking the pictures for this wonderful family blog of ours.
A New Start
Our family has decided to start a family blog. It seems everyone has one and thought we should jump on the fun too. Plus we have distant family and thought "why not?". We are not writers or very adventurous so don't expect anything more. We have also decided to do our blog in mostly pictures. We started our picture fun days ago but just now got around to creating the blog to post them. Oh well. Enjoy.
