August to Now Catch-up Post

Oh boy! Seems like we've been busy. But sometimes doesn't feel like it. Can't explain how I haven't been up to date on the blog! But none the less here we are. I think sometimes it's cause I really don't have anything to post and figure I'll wait. Then before I know it time has went and I have more than enough to post. Oh well, it is what it is. So Imma use this post to catch up and see how it all goes from here. Enjoy!!

AUGUST

Southwest Florida gets a lot of rain. So in August it rained. In my in-laws neighborhood it flooded. This time not totally due to the rain fall. But due to poor management of the community. They haven't properly kept up on keeping the drainage cleaned and clear. So without proper drainage flooding happened. Terrible that it happened. A lot of people lost things they couldn't afford to lose or could afford to lose. Water was inside garages and flooded air-conditioning units!

On a happier note....we got our grand daughter a bed for her baby doll. It had to be put together tho. She was so excited to finally have a bed for her baby that she was helping Papaw. Just love them!

SEPTEMBER

Then we got a hurricane. Nothing new for Floridians really. Enjoyed a beer....hehehe. But thought I'd take pictures. We didn't get any damage. Just a messy yard to clean up. I'll take that any day!

We have awesome drainage here! The water got high but never reached the house.

This tree fell across the road. Not hitting anything but the ground. And a little bat took cover on our house. Awe, he was so cute! And probably scared!

The yard after the hurricane and then after I cleaned it and mowed.

OCTOBER

We have Bug again. We took her to our zoo. It's always fun taking her there.

She was afraid in this section of the zoo. You can see why! The birds have free range and get on you. They said the bird on my shoe likes to untie laces.

I really liked how they decorated for halloween. And because we're members we got to get in early to see them bring the animals out for breakfast.

We found an really cool, doctor owned restaurant. They prepare food fresh and the best quality. They also cater to meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans and plan-based eaters!! Love it! Food was wonderful. Bug really likes hummus and she ate the heck out of this fresh made hummus! She also doesn't really eat everything on her plate, as most kids. But the grilled cheese sandwich we ordered for her.....she ate every bit of it!! The chef even came out and talked to us about how we eat. I gave him info that I learned on how to make certain food, but haven't bothered to try. He seemed really excited about the info and said he would research and experiment. Can't wait to go there again!

Pumpkin time!! Need I say more? Nope.

Beach time!! Again, I don't need to say more....hahaha.

Then we took our little Bug home and went with Hubby's parents to the Oktoberfest. The one in our new place of living was crap! I mean crap!! And Lee County has a way better one. So we went there. But probably the last one. Things just aren't what they use to be. I can see what my grandparents always said about 'things changing' and all. Oh well. Life goes on.

Then our grand sons birthday! Man, we have a lot of shit in October!

Bug has a real dirt bike! She absolutely loves riding it!

NOVEMBER

I won't list all my pictures, of course! I have hundreds!! But just a taste. We went on NCL Jade. So far we have planned our cruises on a different ship. We have yet to be on one ship twice but know that will change in the future. This ship was just remodeled and updated.

Every night they make a towel animal. I took pictures of each one every night. But I will not list all of them. This was our first night. We got a free bottle of sparkling wine because of our cruise rewards program that all cruise lines have. We saved it to drink it at home!

This is a hot tub!! See the step? So cool.

I love the way they did this fence! Gives me ideas....hahahaha. My favorite fence was made out of living cactus plants. It was so nice.

This little beer house has it's own little brewery! The guys were working on the beer. It was so good!

And I finish with two of my favorite towel animals that were in our cabin.

That's it....up dated for now.
Until next time....enjoy!!
