From the garden

I posted about the garden we are trying out in the yard. The potatoes were done and I harvested them. And we got one tomato so far. The other tomatoes are still growing. I'll take them as they become done. We did't get much potatoes but we were very happy with what we did get.

The most exciting thing for me is that we use to live on 1 1/4 acres and nothing (I mean nothing!) would grow. But here in a gated community with a very small yard things seem to grow....hey some of the things may not make it (maybe it wasn't the right season) but they grew none the less! The chayote is growing so beautifully! I will have to get pictures of it to post. Anywho....here are the potatoes and the little tomato.

The taste of a fresh potato is so different.....yum!!!
