Rice Pudding

Rice pudding is a favorite of mine. It reminds me of my childhood. Warm, comforting and good. I'm sure I don't make it like Grandma but I think that is okay. As long as I still make it, enjoy memories, make memories for my kids is all that really matters.
Anyhow, here is how I make it.

Start with 2 cups leftover rice.

Add 1-1 1/2 cups of milk and 1/2 cup sugar. Stir and cook until starts to thicken.

Add 1 tsp vanilla extract. And cinnamon. Now the cinnamon is suppose to be sprinkled on top when serving. I like the flavor so I add 1 tsp to the cooking rice.

Serve with a dollop of whip cream
and sprinkle with cinnamon if you don't add it while cooking.

I like mine warm not cold.
